Theordore Roosevelt National Monument

With such amazing weather and spring coming up, why not check out the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial!  Located on a tiny island on the Potomac river is this wonders monument providing honor towards “Teddy” and the beliefs he inspired millions with.

Access to the island can be a bit tricky so follow the directions carefully.

Fun Fact:  Did you know that the term “teddy bear” was brought on by a toy makers labeling of the stuffed animals after a generous act of Theodore Roosevelt sparing a bears life during a sporting event?  Ever since millions of children have come to enjoy the animals as a bedtime comfort naming their furry friends, though nothing beats a good old “Teddy” bear to show just how great this president was.
