The French Embassy

The French embassy is located at 4101 Reservoir Rd NW Washington, District of Columbia 20007.

The embassy opened in 1984. With some 400 staffers, it is France’s largest foreign embassy. The embassy represents the interests of France and French citizens in the United States within the US.

The French ambassador’s residence in Washington, D.C. is located at 2221 Kalorama Road, N.W., in the Sheridan-Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It was designed by Jules Henri de Sibour in 1910, the building is a combination of Tudor Revival and Jacobea Revival styles of architecture an it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The building served as the Embassy of France from 1936 until 1984.
