Wise Traditions 2026 at Omni Shoreham: Essential Kalorama Stay Guide

Wise Traditions 2026 brings the Weston A. Price Foundation’s 26th Annual Wise Traditions Conference to Washington, D.C., October 16–18, 2026, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert Street NW. Official organizer pages place both the conference and group lodging at the Omni. This guide sticks to confirmed facts and a practical Kalorama overnight nearby.

Wise Traditions 2026 — confirmed event facts

  • What: Wise Traditions 2026 — Weston A. Price Foundation 26th Annual Conference
  • When: October 16–18, 2026
  • Where: Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert Street NW, Washington, DC 20008
  • Organizer: wisetraditions.org
  • Hotel / accommodations: wisetraditions.org/hotel — conference and accommodations at the Omni; group-rate instructions and book-by date appear on the organizer hotel page

The organizer hotel page notes metered street parking limits near the Omni and recommends SpotHero for nearby garages. That is Omni-area guidance from the conference—not a claim about American Guest House parking.

Getting from Kalorama to the Omni for Wise Traditions 2026

American Guest House is at 2005 Columbia Road NW, Washington, DC 20009, in Kalorama (Sheridan-Kalorama). Adams Morgan restaurants are nearby; the house itself is in Kalorama, not Adams Morgan. Learn more about American Guest House and our FAQ.

  • Walk roughly a mile north on Connecticut Avenue toward Woodley Park / Calvert Street
  • Or take the Red Line one stop from Dupont Circle to Woodley Park–Zoo/Adams Morgan and walk Calvert to the Omni
  • We remain one block from the Washington Hilton if your travel party splits venues

Weekend conference rhythms for Wise Traditions 2026 at the Omni Shoreham often include early sessions and on-site meals. A Kalorama overnight still keeps the Omni within a short Metro hop.

Breakfast, check-in, and parking at American Guest House

We are a historic bed and breakfast in an 1893 house with 11 ensuite rooms. We are about a 2-minute walk from the Washington Hilton and a 7–10 minute walk to Dupont Circle Metro. See map, directions, and parking.

  • Breakfast is included on the Standard Rate and Last Minute Deal only. It is not included on Corporate or Non-Refundable rates.
  • Check-in is 4pm–10pm. Complimentary luggage storage opens from 10am.
  • We do not offer parking. There is no on-site lot. Nearby street parking is often 2-hour residential. Use SpotHero or paid lots/garages.

Conference meals at the Omni are part of the Wise Traditions program for registrants. If you still want breakfast at the B&B on a travel day, pick a rate that includes it. We do not take reservations by phone—book direct on Think Reservations.

Why Wise Traditions 2026 attendees book outside the host hotel

Omni group rooms are convenient, and the organizer publishes clear booking steps. When the block fills—or when travelers want a quieter residential street after full conference days—American Guest House offers 11 ensuite rooms about a mile from the Omni Shoreham. You keep Metro access to Woodley Park without staying inside the host hotel’s footprint.

Families or friends sharing a trip sometimes split: some want the Omni conference rate; others want a B&B for the shoulder nights. Kalorama supports that split without a long suburban drive.

What to pack into the lodging plan

Omni weeks reward a clear transit plan. Decide whether you will walk Connecticut Avenue or use the Red Line hop to Woodley Park, then stick with that pattern so mornings stay predictable. If breakfast is included on your AGH rate, eat at the house and leave buffer for the ride to Calvert Street.

Luggage from 10am covers early train arrivals. After 4pm check-in, you can settle before evening networking. Parking stays the same house rule every time: no on-site lot, often 2-hour residential street limits, SpotHero or paid garages only.

If your group splits between Omni block rooms and a Kalorama B&B for Wise Traditions 2026, share a standing Metro meetup time rather than assuming everyone walks the mile at the same pace.

Weekend conference pace at the Omni Shoreham

Friday through Sunday programs mix talks, meals, and community time. If you drive into D.C., read the organizer hotel page on SpotHero before you assume street parking near Calvert Street will work. At American Guest House the rule is unchanged: no on-site lot, SpotHero or paid garages only.

Share room plans early if two adults want one of the 11 ensuite rooms—inventory is small by design. Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo sit near the Omni per the organizer hotel page; treat those as optional after-hours walks. Registration and meal logistics live on wisetraditions.org—use those pages for tickets and dietary notes. Lodging here is separate from conference registration.

Book your Wise Traditions 2026 stay

If Omni group inventory is gone after the organizer’s book-by date, check Kalorama dates for October 16–18 while rooms remain.
