These Washington DC Sites and Attractions are CLOSED: Washington Monument – closed for repairs due to an 8/2011 earthquake. Unfortunately I have not been able to see an expected opening date yet.

Where have all the tourists gone? June is supposed to be one of our busiest months in Washington DC but instead DC B&Bs, Inns and DC accommodations are struggling to stay afloat.
The buzz is that the American economy is getting better. I know there are many houses for sale and that house prices are going up, at least that is true for Washington DC and Northern VA and some parts of Maryland, but are the banks willing to lend you the money to buy your dream house? George Washington’s Mount Vernon – The First President of the United States spent 40 years living at his farm in Mount Vernon, VA with his wife Martha Washington and their Two children.
