Presidents’ Day Weekend 2013

Come to Washington DC on Presidents’ Day Weekend 2013! There are several exciting events taking place in the Nation’s Capital:

George Washington’s Birthday Parade will take place in Old Town Alexandria, VA on Monday February 18 from 1pm-3pm and it is accessible by metro train. By the way, it’s the country’s largest Presidents’ Day Parade!

Abraham Lincoln Birthday Observance at the Lincoln Memorial will honor Abraham Lincoln at a Presidential wreath laying ceremony with the reading of the “Gettysburg Address.”

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum will have the Presidential Gallery. The gallery will be interactive featuring various historical figures.

And also, don’t forget to go to Gadby’s Tavern in Alexandria. Each year, the Saturday night before President’s Day, a Birth Night Ball is held at the Tavern.
