Here is one of our delicious “breakfast special”: the Egg and Ham Croissant! French are very well known to deep their croissant into a cup of coffee or milk but they also like to “stuff” their croissant too and eat like a main dish
Here what you need for 1 croissant:
Time to prepare: 15 minutes
- 1 croissant slices in two
- 1 egg
- 1 slice of ham
- 2 slice of Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Heat broiler. Spread 2 teaspoons butter on bottom half of each croissant; place buttered-side up on baking sheet. Broil 5 to 7 inches from heat until light golden brown (1 to 2 minutes).
Top each toasted croissant half with 1 slice cheese and 1/2 of ham. Continue broiling until cheese is melted (1 to 2 minutes).
Place 1 poached egg and 1 slice cheese over ham on 1 side of the croissant. Continue broiling until cheese is melted (1 minute). Sprinkle with dill; top each with remaining croissant half.
