The American Guest House, our charming Washington, DC accommodation, is located just steps away from one of Washington D.C.’s most historic and lively neighborhood’s, Adams Morgan, which is hosting its 34th Annual Adams Morgan Day Festival this Sunday, September 9, 2012 from noon to 7pm. The festival boasts to be one of the longest continuously-running neighborhood festivals in D.C. All along the 18th Street corridor (between Columbia Road and Florida Avenue) you will find a vibrant multicultural street celebration with live music, local food, crafts booths, and local merchants. Additionally, opening at 10 a.m. is a special area featuring the work of local artists, which is just off 18th on Belmont Street. Make sure to come out and enjoy a unique D.C. treat!

The Shops at National Place is a three-level shopping mall located in the heart of downtown Washington DC in the National Press Club Building. The Shops contains over 70 specialty shops and eateries including Filene’s Basement, Simply Wireless, and White House Gift Shop. The Shops at National Place and National Press Club are located near the Metro Center and Federal Triangle Metro stops. See a map of Pennsylvania Avenue
