An event with more than 50 years of history is taking place this February in DC. National Prayer Breakfast is scheduled to happen on February 7th at the Hilton Hotel. This event started in 1953 with President Eisenhower as a way for the congress to support, pray and care for the president. Today, it gathers leaders from all over the country in a celebration that you cannot miss.

The Obama/Biden Party has provided this link listing places where people can get together to watch the debate. Quite a few of them are very close to American Guest House, a Washington DC Hotel Accommodation near Dupont Circle and the White House.

Anyone can register at the White House Web Page for a chance to be entered into a lottery sponsored by Rec.Gov and register by March 5, 2012. Winners will be announced March 12, 2012 and the event will be held on April 09, 2012. Register soon and get a chance of a lifetime. Admission is free and open to one submission per household. Tickets are non-transferable.

While Hollywood celebrates the Academy Awards, a different gala event was on at the White House yesterday night: President Obama hosted the nation’s state governors.
The states’ top executives were in town for the yearly National Governors Association weekend, a four-day conference where the leaders meet with federal officials and business executives different kind of topics such as issues facing the states.
The president thanked his guests for their leadership but kept his remarks brief, telling them tonight was about having some fun and enjoy the night…
