The Park at Adams Morgan, parking garage

The Park at Adams Morgan is a convenient parking garage located 5 minutes walking distance from the American Guest House, at 1711 Florida Ave., NW, one block east of the intersection of 18th Street and California Street.

With approximately 250 daily parking spots,  and prices that are much lower than most garages in the area, this parking garage is a good address to park your car!

The parking is open Monday -Thursday: 6:30 am – 12:00 am, Friday: 6:30 am – 4:00 am and Saturday: 9:00 am – 4:00 am. It’s closed on Sundays.  For direction from the Guest House, please click on the link: directions. For prices, see below:

The Kreeger Museum

The Kreeger Museum is a private, non-profit art museum located in the former residence of David and Carmen Kreeger at 2401 Foxhall Road, NW, Washington DC. The building was designed in 1963 by Pritzker Prize winning architect Philip Johnson with Richard Foster, on five and a half wooded acres overlooking the nation’s capital.

The collection features 19th and 20th century paintings and sculptures, with works by internationally known artists such as Boudin, Cézanne, Monet, Moore,  Picasso, Rodin, and van Gogh.  Also included in the collection are outstanding examples of traditional African and Asian art.

The museum is open to the general public on most Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and offers pre-booked tours each day from Tuesday to Friday at 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.

Hit the Gym while you stay at the Guest House!

If you’re looking for a work out while you stay at the Guest House, there are a few gyms in our area. If you aren’t already a member of these gyms, many have an introductory pass.

Washington Sports Club in Dupont: The Dupont WSC is located at 1835 Connecticut Ave., NW, which is also about a 5 minute walk from us. If you are guest with us, we can get you a one day pass or a week pass (base on availability) Their prices vary on membership, so see their membership types or give them a call at 202-332-0100.

Gym at the Hilton: There is a 1 day pass that a non-Hilton guest may buy to access their gym. It is located within the Hilton at 1919 Connecticut Ave., NW, which is about a 5 minute walk from us. Call 202-483-4100 for more information.

Results Gym: 1612 U St, NW. At a little over half a mile from us and about a 10 minute walk. They offer a free trial visit for non-members.

Gym at Washington DC Jewish Community Center: 1529 16th St, NW. They’re about a 15 minute walk and less than a mile away from the American Guest House bed and Breakfast. You can contact them about membership information at 202-518-9400.
