Brunch near Foggy Bottom Metro Station, George Washington University

If you are looking for a little piece of history with your Sunday afternoon brunch, try Tonic in the GW/ Foggy Bottom Area.  Tonic is a restaurant that has been renovated from an old pharmacy and kept some of the original prescription bottles for decor.  The specials are always great and caters to whatever “ails” you.  Don’t forget the bottomless mimosa’s from 11-3pm every Sat & Sun!

Washington DC Activities

The Kennedy Center

The John F. Kennedy Center is the  performing arts center of Washington DC near the  the Watergate complex which opened on September 8, 1971. It produces and presents theater, dance, ballet, orchestral, chamber, jazz, popular, and folk music, in addition to multi-media performances for all ages.

To see a great show at the best price available, which is zip-zilch-nada, check out the shows at The Kennedy Center on Mondays to Fridays at 6pm.

On Saturday, I went to see “Les Miserables” and it was absolutely amazing! The play will be there until the end of October and tickets are still available.

The Kennedy Center is  located at 2700 F Street, NW and closest to the Foggy Bottom-GWU metro stop (blue line). Call 202-467-4600 for more info. Also, be sure to take a look at the map of The Kennedy Center before you arrive.

If you want to see something else at another time, they also offer Pay-What-You-Can tickets, also for the National Symphony Orchestra.
