2013 Alzheimer’s Association Advocacy Forum

Join leading researchers, healthcare providers, and advocates at this year’s 2013 Alzheimer’s Association Advocacy Forum.  Since 1989, the Alzheimer’s Association Advocacy Forum has served as a space to share personal stories by affected families.  The event brings together people from across the nation to learn about current legislation; celebrate policy achievements, and strengthen advocacy efforts.  The forum will be hosted at the Renaissance Hotel Washington DC Downtown from April 22 to 24, 2013.

Accommodations at the Renaissance Hotel have reached capacity, but we have plenty of room available.  Our cozy Washington DC lodging can suit your personal needs while you participate in the 2013 Alzheimer’s Association Advocacy Forum.

American Council of Engineering Companies 2013 Convention and Legislative Summit

The American Council of Engineering Companies will hold it’s Annual Convention and Legislative Summit at the Grand Hyatt Hotel In Washington D.C. from April 21 to 24, 2013. This event is intended to educate engineering companies about the latest developments in the industry. Participants from across the country will get the opportunity to engage in several educational sessions from a CEO Round Table to Emerging Leaders Forum in order to learn about different challenges and how to overcome them. In addition to these informative discussions, participants will learn about key legislative topics and how to improve lobbying efforts.

As you prepare plans for the American Council of Engineering Companies’ 2013 Convention, please keep us in mind for your Washington DC accommodations. Earth Month at Union Station Washington DC

In order to foster a public discussion on global warming, the Earth Day Network is sponsoring a month long event at Union Station in Washington DC. Beginning on April 1 and lasting to April 30 2013 ,Washington DC’s Union Station will educate visitors through interactive and environmentally friendly experiences. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in public discussion panels or watch alternative energy demonstrations. The organizers are also working on a film festival, a green fashion show, and a farmers market.

As one of the busiest transit hubs in the United State, the Union Station also enables countless visitors to learn more about the various projects going on across the country to fight global warming. Given the rapid transformation our climate patterns have undergone, it’s now more important to spearhead a meaningful debate to save our planet for future generations.

The 2013 Drosophila Research Conference

The 2013 Drosophila Research Conference will be held on April 3-7, 2013 at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC.  From students and trainees to PIs and Faculty, there is something for everyone.  Nearly 1,000 abstracts are submitted each year and over 150 are selected for platform presentations ranging from model organisms to human disease to cell biology, pattern formation and more.. The conference is a quick walk, bus or cab ride from our Dupont Circle Hotel.

The American Public Transportation Association 2013 Legislative Conference will be held in Washington DC at the JW Marriott from March 10 to March 12, 2013. As cities across the country grapple with how to connect citizens via public transportation, it’s important to take a look at how others are dealing with the same issue. The 2013 Legislative Conference offers its attendees a myriad of opportunities to learn and be become better equipped in their advocacy efforts.
