Free Things in Washington DC Washington DC Tourist Itineraries

Back road to the National Zoological Park from our Guesthouse (1 mile away!)

If you are staying with us this season you might want to visit the National Zoological Park (which is Free to the public!).  Only one-mile away, you could walk there by following these easy directions from our DC Guest House:

From 2005 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC 2009 -

1)Travel a few blocks NE down Columbia Rd (take a left walking out from our entrance) and make your way to 18th Street (about a 1/4 mile walk)

2) Make a left at the Starbucks on 18th and Columbia and you will be on Adams Mill Road.

3) Take Adams Mill Road (for about 3/4 mile) down the hill to Harvard Street and make a left.

4) At the bottom of the hill you will see the back entrance to the National Zoological Park.
