BWI to Union Station on the Amtrak!

Just last week I booked a very inexpensive flight from Baltimore, MD (BWI) to Tucson, AZ (TUS) for only $214 on Delta Airlines!  Great deals are abundant when traveling through BWI but getting there can be a rough journey.  A few weeks ago I posted a public transportation route on the Metro (Green Line) from Green Belt to BWI on the B30 bus line.  I found a route that was actually much faster.  At only 21 minutes travel time, the Amtrak offers one-way tickets from Union Station to BWI for only $14.

Book your reservation online at the Amtrak website to check availability.  The reason I decided on the Amtrak was because my flight time was outside the normal operating hours of the B30 bus route.  The Amtrak has one stop between BWI and Union Station at (Red line, few minutes away from our DC Inn) the New Carrollton Metro Station.

Enjoy and Safe Travels!

Baltimore to DC via Metro Rail/Bus System

If you are flying in from Baltimore, the cheapest way to commute if you don’t have a rental car is by public transportation.  A taxi ride can easily cost $100 or more depending on which side of DC you are visiting.

The B30 Bus line runs fairly often from BWI to the Greenbelt Metro Station in Maryland.  The B30 Bus line costs $7.10 one-way and you can purchase an additional fare at the Greenbelt Metro station for the Metro Rail system.  To get to our guest house, take the Green Line two stations down to Fort Totten and then transfer to the Red Line going south.  Once you arrive at the Dupont Circle Metro station, use the Q Street exit and we are a 10-minute walk up Connecticut Ave. Make a right on Columbia and our guest house is on the left side of the street.
