American Public Transportation Association 2013 Legislative Conference

The American Public Transportation Association 2013 Legislative Conference will be held in Washington DC at the JW Marriott from March 10 to March 12, 2013. As cities across the country grapple with how to connect citizens via public transportation, it’s important to take a look at how others are dealing with the same issue. The 2013 Legislative Conference offers its attendees a myriad of opportunities to learn and be become better equipped in their advocacy efforts.

For those late minute planners, don’t worry – we still have rooms available.  Our cozy bed and breakfast in DuPont Circle provides you with privacy and a welcoming environment.  We will make sure you feel at home the minute you walk through our doors.  But that’s not all, we are also located on the 42 bus line which will take you within a 6 minute walking distance of the JW Marriott.  If you prefer riding the metro lines, DuPont Circle Metro station is located a few blocks down.

Building A Grad Nation Summit

Cardiovascular Research Technologies 2013 Conference

The Cardiovascular Research Technologies 2013 conference, the most comprehensive to date, will be held at the Omni Shoreman Hotel from February 23 – 26, 2013. Aside from covering five core subject areas in cardiovascular research such as: Science, Technology, Nursing, Coronary, and Endovascular, the conference will address cutting-edge Valve & Structural Heart track and the Essentials of Clinical Research. Participants, estimated to be 1600, will get several opportunities to engage in simulations and several hands-on workshops.

Credit Union National Association’s 2013 Government Affairs Conference

The Credit Union National Association’s 2013 Government Affairs Conference will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from February 24th to the 28th, 2013. More than 4000 participants, from credit union CEOs, board members, young leaders, to those interested in the future of credit unions are expected to attend. This event will provide participants the opportunity to interact with Members of Congress and hear more about critical issues affecting credit unions across the nation.

President’s Day Weekend in Washington DC, February 2013

Looking for a getaway for President’s Day Weekend 2013? Look no further than Washington DC! What better place to celebrate the birth of our nation’s great presidential leaders than right here in Washington? Here is your go-to-guide to some of the region’s best celebrations:

President’s Day will be honored on February 18th, 2013, with many special events and commemorations happening the weekend prior, from the 16th-18th.

Mount Vernon will be commemorating George Washington’s 281 Birthday Celebration all weekend from February 16-18, 2013, with a series of festivities, including the opportunity to see George Washington’s personal copy of the Constitution.

On February 18, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m Old Town Alexandria will hold the annual George Washington’s Birthday Parade. For 2013 updates, check back here.

The Gadsby’s Tavern Museum will be hosting a series of events from banquets to parades,  on the weekend of February 16-18.

Or consider visiting the National Memorials along the National Mall, for example,visit the Lincoln Memorial (23rd & Constitution Ave., NW) to see the Presidential wreath-laying ceremony and a dramatic reading of the “Gettysburg Address.” Or tour the White House! 14th Annual Washington International Wine and Food Festival
