The ACCC State Chapters Membership Conference

The ACCC State Chapters Membership Conference will be held at the Marriott Wardman Hotel on March 6th, 2013. The Association’s Annual National Meeting, Oncology Economics Conference, and Regional Oncology Economic and Management Symposia will provide the oncology team with an opportunity to be better prepared for the ever-changing oncology landscape.

National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education Conference

The 26th annual conference of the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education (NAPAHE) will take place in Washington DC from Friday, March 1, 2013 to Sunday, March 3, 2013. In addition to plenary sessions and keynote speakers, this conference will offer a wide selection of breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, and opportunities for networking with other professionals in the field. Presidents’ Day Weekend 2013

Come to Washington DC on Presidents’ Day Weekend 2013! There are several exciting events taking place in the Nation’s Capital:

George Washington’s Birthday Parade will take place in Old Town Alexandria, VA on Monday February 18 from 1pm-3pm and it is accessible by metro train. By the way, it’s the country’s largest Presidents’ Day Parade!

Abraham Lincoln Birthday Observance at the Lincoln Memorial will honor Abraham Lincoln at a Presidential wreath laying ceremony with the reading of the “Gettysburg Address.”

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum will have the Presidential Gallery. The gallery will be interactive featuring various historical figures.

And also, don’t forget to go to Gadby’s Tavern in Alexandria. Each year, the Saturday night before President’s Day, a Birth Night Ball is held at the Tavern.

Council on Undergraduate Research Dialogues 2013

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) will hold its Dialogues 2013 conference on February 21-23, 2013 at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza.  These dialogues bring together university faculty, research directors, and grants administrators to Washington, D.C. for the opportunity to interact with federal agencies and other grants administrators.

Keep America Beautiful National Conference in Washington DC, January 2013

Coming to the Keep America Beautiful National Conference in Washington DC at the end of January 2013 and still looking for a place to stay? We still have a few rooms available in our bed and breakfast lodging near the heart of Dupont Circle, and a brief 10 minute walk away from the conference.

APSCU Symposium 2012

The Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities will host a Symposium, “From Politics to Policy” from December 5 to 7, 2012 in Washington DC. The symposium will cover post-election impacts for private sector educational institutions, including issues such as the fiscal cliff, budget sequestration, and its potential impact on educational grants. Keynote speakers include experts from the Georgetown University Center on Education & Workforce, the Department of Labor, and the Washington Examiner.
