The White House Spring Garden Tours has been an annual tradition since 1972. Don’t miss the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, Children’s Garden, and South Lawn of the White House while military bands perform from a White House balcony.

This is a must see if you are intrigued by espionage. My husband and son really enjoyed the visit and will probably be back too. There is a fee but it was worth it. Visit their web site for special events for kids and adults.

MADAM TUSSAUD’S Wax Museum in Washington DC

We enjoyed our visit to Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum even though we thought to be a bit pricey. But we figured it was Ok since all of the Smithsonian museums and monuments are free. It is fun for the whole family.

I would go back to La Tomate Italian Bistro , great ambiance and the food is pretty good too and it is only a 10 minute walk from the guest house.

It use to be so easy to tour the White House…before 9/11 happened….
