The  FLEA MARKET at the Eastern Market in DC is located between the Capitol and Union Station and it has been around for the last 26 years.  The market is one of the most diverse in the nation where you can shop for antiques, arts, craft, collectables and imports from around the world.  The flea market operates every Sunday year round 10 to 5pm.

Within about 10 minutes walking distance of the AmericanGuestHouse you will find many specialty shops for shoes, clothing, antiques, etc.

If you are looking for a shopping mall I suggest taking the metro to Pentagon City Shopping Mall - the metro stop is inside the mall and it only takes 15 to 20 minutes to ride the metro — there you will find Macy’s, Nordstrom and� many other name brand� unique� stores.
