The Black Fox Lounge – Live Jazz Music

The Black Fox Lounge, which is located at 1723 Connecticut ave, is a rare find offering great food, nightly jazz music, and great happy hour specials.  Upon entering you are immediately greeted to a warm and inviting atmosphere with an elegantly lit ambiance to suit any evening of entertainment in the Washington DC area.

The menu selection has been mastered by military veteran owner James “Jim” McGlade, whom offers a slim, but very tasty and appealing variety of specially designed meals, appetizers and signature cocktails.  Jim is often found behind the bar greeting guests and ensuring that everyone feels right at home.  A wide variety of drink selections are offered to include the signature cocktail the “Foxy Lady” which comes highly recommended.  To add to any night of great drinks and food specialties, the Black Fox is home to several jazz musicians and special nightly guests providing some of the best piano, soul and guitar solo’s in the Dupont Circle area. If you are looking for Washington DC Dining and a DC hotel, The American Guest House Bed and Breakfast is your pass!  Best of all: Admission – Free!

Bedrock Billiards, Adams Morgan/ Dupont Circle Area

If you are looking for an amazing dive bar, check out Bedrock Billiards.   They have pool, shuffle board, and some other games.  The initial ambiance is a very subtle jukebox scene and if you are lucky, Katie (Bartender on Saturday afternoons) is hosting some great tunes.  Memberships are available for hard core pool players (15% off Bar Tab, Free Pool during certain hours, etc).  If you have the chance to drop in, I highly recommend this dive bar scene in the DuPont /Adams Morgan Area.

No food is served, but you have plenty of venues to choose from in the area.  Local Brews go for $3-$5 during Happy Hour (which is 7 days a week) and other specials apply during later hours.  Definitely one of DC’s hidden dives you wont want to miss if you enjoy pool, social conversation and good music.
