16th National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Conference

For eighty-four years, the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives has rallied in support of local and national farmer cooperatives across the United States. With over 3,000 cooperatives, owned and operated for the mutual benefit of members, the NCFC is one of the largest organizations tirelessly working to promote federal support of co-ops.

From June 10 to June 12, 2013, hundreds of NCFC’s current members will gather at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington D.C for the 16th Annual Washington DC Conference. This event provides participants with the opportunity to engage federal policymakers on relevant issues such as: immigration reform, the 2013 Farm Bill, and the environment.

Health Datapalooza 2013

Today, more and more companies, academics, start-ups, and individuals are looking for ways to exploit the ever increasing volume of data. This 21st century gold rush is poised to take place in the health sector as organizations, companies, governments, and individuals search for new insights and innovations to reduce cost, improve services, and ensure affordable health.

25th Annual Association for Psychological Science Convention

With over 24,500 members, the Association for Psychological Science is one of the largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to promoting scientific psychology on a national and international level. Their mission is to improve the well-being of individuals through scientific research, application, and teaching.

This year, the Association for Psychological Science will hold its 25th Annual Convention in Washington D.C. at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park from May 23 to May 26, 2013. The four day event provides plenty of opportunities for networking, collaborating, and learning about recent innovations in the field of scientific psychology. Pharmacy Quality Alliance Best Practices Forum

Established in 2006, the Pharmacy Quality Alliance’s (PQA) mission is to improve medication management across various healthcare organizations. With over 100 member organizations, the PQA works across the organizational silos to establish medication management standards in the hopes of improving patient care.

This year, the Pharmacy Quality Alliance will hold it’s 8th Annual Meeting and Best Practices Forum from May 28 to May 30, 2013 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Those expected to attend work as policy makers, researchers, and government insiders. At this year’s event, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate, network, and share ideas to improve medication management techniques.

XXXI International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association

With over seven thousand members, the Latin American Studies Association is dedicated to promoting an intellectual discussion among academics, professionals, and policy makers working on issues related to Latin America. Landmark’s E St Cinema – DC’s well kept secret

Washington D.C. isn’t known for it’s vibrant film culture – even with an annual film festival. However, Landmark’s E St Cinema gives traveling film buffs their independent, foreign language, and documentary film fix. As one of D.C’s few art houses, E St serves an important function as a purveyor of culture – exposing us to narratives that transcend language and geopolitical boundaries. Plus, they sell beer!

16th Annual Welfare Research and Evaluation Conference
