From August 3-6 the American Psychological Association (APA) will be holding the 125th APA Annual Convention here at the nation’s capital, near our Washington DC bed and breakfast. The convention will take place at the Renaissance Washington Hotel and will consist of various workshops, sessions, speakers and activities that will focus on providing psychologists with the most current information regarding the field of psychology. Attendees will get the opportunity to expand their knowledge by hearing from experts in the field as well as connecting with and learning from fellow psychologists. There will be more than 1,000 sessions offered and more than 50 social work hours available.
In addition to the sessions, the APA convention is offering workshops Thursday through Sunday for those interested in earning Continuing Education (CE) credits. Some of the workshops that will be offered are: Attachment-Based Family Therapy Introductory Workshop, Clinical Competencies for Spiritually Integrated Practice, Building a Successful, Ethically Responsible Independent Practice, and Evidence-Based Applied Sport Psychology.
