From July 30 – August 2 the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) will be holding their 53rd Annual FBINAA Training and Conference here in Washington, DC. The conference will take place at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park, near our DC B&B, and give an in-depth training featuring expert speakers. This year’s theme is “Bringing it Home; Connecting Communities” as it will focus on strengthening the bonds with surrounding communities.
FBINAA 2017 will provide over 30 hours worth of training through various plenary and breakout sessions that will cover an array of crucial topics. A few of the topics that will be covered this year include, “Rebranding to Improve Media Coverage of Your Agency,” “First Responders: the First Line of Defense in Counterterrorism” and “Rapid DNA Testing Technology.”
In addition to the many educational opportunities, there are also a variety of social activities planned, including a night dedicated to making plans with your fellow alumni. Some of the fun (optional) activities planned for the conference are: President’s Reception at the Newseum, Family Night at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, the FBINAA 5K Run/Walk Challenge, and many more!
