Every week in Washington DC there are numerous conventions where people from all over the world come to attend. Many of those travelers choose to stay with us at our DC bed and breakfast. Being located in a central location is a must for many business travelers and we are. Located just across the street from the Washington Hilton, and short walks from Omni Shoreham and Wardman Marriott Park, we are in a great location where you can call home for your short or long stay in the city.
This year’s American Staffing Association Law Conference takes place May 11-12 at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC, nowhere else will you find such high-caliber and targeted industry content. The ASA Staffing Law Conference is the only event dedicated exclusively to the legal and regulatory issues facing staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions companies.
What is the American Staffing Association? The ASA was founded in 1966 as the Institute of Temporary Services, becoming the National Association of Temporary Services in 1970, then changed its name again to the National Association of Temporary and Staffing Services in 1994, finally in 1999 it became named the American Staffing Association to better reflect the full range of staffing and human resource services offered by its member companies. Throughout the years it has been the voice of the U.S. recruiting, staffing, and workforce solutions industry.
During the conference, there will be many exhibits and sessions, reaching into all areas of this industry and focusing on policy and reform for the upcoming year. One of the sessions will go into depth of the legal developments under the new Trump Administration, which I’m sure you won’t want to miss.
If you’re looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of a hotel during a convention, we would love for you to try out our DC B&B. Our rooms are cozy, quiet and comfortable and each morning you wake up to a freshly cooked breakfast, made to order by Chef Kevin. We look forward to seeing you!
