October 8th-11th at the Wardman Park Marriott, near our Washington DC bed and breakfast, the World Federation of Associations of Pediatric Surgeons (WOFAPS) is holding their 5th annual WOFAPS Conference 2016. The conference will consist of scientific and research plenary sessions, inspiring keynote lectures, and opportunities to network with pediatric surgical colleagues from around the world at the nation’s epicenter for medical research and patient care. These sessions will feature pediatric surgery professionals to discuss essential topics and perspectives on pediatric surgery.
WOFAPS 2016 will cover a variety of topics in the sessions offered including, “What is New with CDH?”, “Airway Challenges and Innovation in 2016”, “Value Proposition of Pediatric Surgical Registries”, “The Evolving Roles of Surgery in Appendicitis”, “Safe Kids Worldwide”, “What to Do With Long Gaps & Replacements of Esophagus in 2016?”, “Updates & Controversies on Anorectal Malformations”, “Innovations & Controversies in Epispadia/Hypospadia Management” and much more. Additionally, there are keynote speakers lined up to discuss their experiences and share key perspectives.
To attend the conference, registration tickets cost $650 for a full Congress Delegate, $400 for Residents/Fellows/Young Pediatric Surgeons from Emerging Countries and $275 for Students/Nurses. There are addition pre-conference workshops to attend for separate ticket prices. You can choose one of three to attend for $250, and the options include: Fetal & Neonatal Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Urology: Vesicoureteral Reflux.
