Outcomes Research 2016

With over 1,800 presentations, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) will have their annual meeting, at the Washington Hilton, from May 21st to the 25th. This organization is the principal educational and scientific establishment for health economics. It’s also prominent in outcomes research—this is a branch of public health research that studies our health care system on the well-being of the patient, respectively. There are many reasons on why you should attend, but the primary are: to learn new applications; engage with experts in the field; of course to network; share your research and ideas; advance your career and stay current on policy issues.

The theme this year is: “Value, Affordability, and Patient Centeredness: Can We Have it All?” This topic is relevant in the health care field, and one of buzzing interest. For this conference near our Washington DC inn, there will be plenary sessions and short course programs. his organization covers the  international HEOR community: global leaders, policy makers, regulators, researchers, academicians, payers, decision makers, patients, and patient groups.

This is a particularly exciting conference, because this is election year. This is an important time to be involved with the ISPOR teaming environment.
