This October 16-18 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC, a short walk from our Washington DC Inn, the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association will hold its 16th annual conference.
The Collaborative Family Healthcare Association started with its first conference in 1995. This organization is composed of members, however, they take this term seriously as their roots are grounded by the vision of a better tomorrow for healthcare and this starts with working together–both internally and externally.
“CFHA promotes comprehensive and cost-effective models of healthcare delivery that integrate mind and body, individual and family, patients, providers and communities.”–www.cfha.net
The theme for the 2014 conference is: From Fragmentation to Integration: A Triple Aim Imperative. The primary goal in this meeting, is to target the cracks in todays health care system and with that, collaboration is necessary for those fragments to achieve the “Triple Aim: better patient experience, better population health, and lower cost.”–www.cfha.net.
The CFHA sees their annual conference as a tool to re-educate their members in order to achieve their mission. Those attending can expect a busy couple of days with diverse speakers and topics. Early registration is open until September 15. After this date, registration fees increase by $75. Those interested can register themselves or another individual.
