October doesn’t just mean pumpkin-spice lattes, days getting shorter, leafs fading into burnt orange; October means the annual multi-disciplinary team building CVT critical care conference.
From October 9th to the 11th at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, a quick walk from our Washington DC inn, those in the arena of Cardiovascular-Thoracic (CVT) will meet to advance in this complex field. What is Cardiovascular-Thoracic? The tricky part in understanding this thick name is that they are two separate procedures that can be addressed in one operation. Cardiovascular is the heart and heart blood vessels; Thoracic is the part of the trunk in human vertebrates between the neck and the abdomen. The CVT brings together health care professionals that study the care in these areas–with topics around the latest procedures so the patient outcome improves. But, the conference will also address the importance of doctors working together, as a team, to address these areas of study along with understanding protocols. With extremely complex conditions in CVT, what a wonderful opportunity these conference guest evaluate what does and doesn’t work.
Registration for this event is now open. Those attending will have a wide range of dinning and activity options in the DC area. And what a beautiful time to visit, too!
