Washington, DC is celebrating 50 years of Civil Rights at the 32nd ILG National Conference. We look back and how far our society has come in fifty years and how bright our future has become thanks to the the vision of Civil Rights leaders. The conference continues this vision and acknowledges the new challenges we need to face today. The National Industry Liaison Group (NILG) works to promote equality in the workplace and is the premier association on affirmative action and equal employment opportunity in the United States. ILG’s are located in every Department of Labor (DOL) region and has broad base of constituents who focus on EO / AA matters.

The 2014 ILG National Conference strides to “Learn from Legacy, while focusing on the future.” A few interesting topics discussed during this conference will cover hiring those who are disabled and how to become a resource for recruitment, the basic foundation of Affirmative Action, and the ways in which a HR professional can comply with the new veterans and individuals with disabilities regulation. There is not a better place to celebrate the history of of Civil Rights then in the amazingly historic Washington, DC. Our Washington, DC Bed and Breakfast Inn is located very close to the Marriott Wardman Park where this conference is being held. We hope to see some of you who are attending in August!
