This month, July 22-26, The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) are hosting their annual scientific meetings. This meeting is known as the largest venue for those to come together for education and networking who are professionals in the field of urogynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine Reconstruction Surgery. A main event to look forward to at the conference is the debate “You Can’t Fix Everything at The Same Time.” This debate will be held on Friday 25 with Kim Kenton and Mark Slack versus Emily Lukacz and Peter Dwyer. This conference will also be holding a workshop each day discussing various topics like innovative pelvic floor rehabilitation, teaching and training in robotic surgery, minimally-invasive sacrocolpopexy, and much more.

Here is a video from the IUGA 38th Annual Meeting from last year to give you an idea of what the conference may be like.

After the long four days of networking and education the attendees get a chance to unwind and relax for the Final Night Global Connection at Dirty Martini Bar.  AUGS/IUGA 2014 will be held in Washington D.C. at the Walter E. Convention Center. Our Washington DC Inn is located a short metro ride away from this conference. Come stay here with us, start your day with a delicious hand-made meal, enjoy the day of networking and education at the conference, and come back to a clean comfortable bed.
