Understanding national security is important. In order to groom the next generation of successful leaders to push national security progression, we must first understand it. Truman National Security Project Conference 2014 will be holding a conference from May 1st to May 4th 2014, in Washington DC.

This meaningful conference will take place near our Washington DC inn, to focus on: cyber security, training opportunities, and connecting with those who are impacting the national security debate. Leaders from across the country will come together and listen to key speakers on this important issue, network, and engage in conversation on “…how politics affects the national security debate.”  Truman National Security Project.

I think we all can understand and appreciate the imperative need for this conference and those who are working harder, so we can feel safe. With that, it is necessary that each of us participate in this challenge. There are many things that each of us can do; check for left baggage at the airport, report any strange situations to authority, be on guard when in public places. Of course, the goal is not to become hyper-sensitive, but rather more in-tune with what is going on around us, and as the metro announcement goes “If you see something, say something!”
