Bridges to roads to the Empire State building – engineers are needed to make change happen. The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) represents these individuals on a national scale, with more than 5,000 firms and half a million employees working on just about every project imaginable. The sum of these efforts can be seen in every safe flight, drink of clean water to every night the light turns on.
ACEC has been around for over a hundred years, from a humble origins of a small group of engineers, today its a federation of 51 state or regional councils. Not only is the scale of the organization itself impressive, but so is the 200 billion price-tag for its projects, both public and private. Every year ACEC gathers for the Annual Convention and Legislative Summit which this year will be held in Washington DC at the Grand Hyatt Washington from April 27th to the 30th, near our Washington DC Inn.
We wish to express gratitude for the great feats of engineering that help our everyday lives continue unabated – and hope each of you enjoy’s their time in Washington DC!
