Local leadership is often exalted yet overworked. Too often the negative press of national issues override the local successes of workforce investment board or WIBs as they are known in the industry.
Every year the National Association of Workforce Boards’ meet in a Forum to overcome this pressing issue and many others that beset their industry. So wide is the call to action that over 650+ state and local WIBs are expected to attend in 2014. That adds up to an impressive 1,200 business leaders and WIB professionals.
Keeping ahead of the game is often the game itself in the spirit of improving upon past years this years themes is Dialogue for Workforce Excellence. The NAWB Forum this year will be hosted from March 29 to April 1, 2014 at the Washington Hilton, nearby our Washington DC bed and breakfast.
As unemployment still sours the economy across the nation there has never been a better opportunity for like-minded professionals to come together and get to work, collectively as hopefully a better stronger team than in years past.
