St. Paddy's Day Parade

St. Patrick’s Day is a family day in Washington, DC bringing people together to share the culture of the Irish.  Washington, DC celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day with a parade along Constitution Avenue. This two-and-a-half hour special event, known as the Nation’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, includes floats, marching bands, pipe bands, military, police, and fire departments.  The parade is Sunday, March 16, 2014, Noon to 3:00 p.m.

The largest festival in the area is also featured that same weekend, National ShamrockFest .     RFK is this year’s location for the Shamrock Festival Grounds.   Featuring entertainment and attractions like nothing else in DC.  Replete with seven           concert stages, tented party areas, beer stations as long as two football fields, bar-game areas, “athletic” competitions, craft, food & beverage markets, strolling entertainers just to wet your appetite for fun.  This giant community party will go on into the night, lasting until 11:00 pm.



So if you are interested in an awesome St. Patrick’s Day experience with out trekking all the way to Savannah, Ga or up to Boston, Mass where you know it’ll still be cold, then DC is your destination.  The Nation’s Capital City St. Patrick’s Day right.  Crawl back to our Washington, DC Hotel with prime location and easy Metro access or within walking distance to all the festivities.  Cheers!
