Sometimes all it takes is being surrounded by your colleagues from other places, to recharge your enthusiasm for the work that you do.  School Psychologist, aka, champions for children  must need a conference like this to do just that.  Surrounded by the majesty of Washington, DC, the 2014 NASP Annual Conference will act as the conduit to the charging station.  February 18 – 21, will bring more than 1,000 sessions, for this four day event which showcases training and professional development on such topics as intervention and assessment, ethics, autism, school crisis, and more.  Marriott Wardman Park is the home for this conference which is conveniently located in the Woodley Park neighborhood.

Senator Al Franken, a proponent for student mental health, will be the Keynote Speaker for this grand event.  While in Washington, DC you will have the chance to see all the glorious sites for free.  Monuments and Historical Government Building are but a few must sees, but Washingtonians frequent the National Gallery, maybe because no one could grow tired of such a body of beauty displayed there.
