Closed Tourist Sights and Attractions in Washington DC During Government Shut Down

Sadly it happened! The government shut down and with that many museums, monuments and national parks throughout the USA.  This action left thousand of tourists very unhappy to say the least, and many demanding refunds because they are no longer able to visit the places they planned to visit.  Of course this situation has created very difficult situations for the lodging and food industries.

American Guest House, a Washington DC Inn, created this list of Closed Tourist Sights and Attractions and a list of Open Tourist Sights and Attractions in Washington DC      in order to help our guests, tourists and visitors in general to still enjoy their visit to Washington, DC during this so unusual event.

3. National Gallery of Art

4. U.S. Capitol Visitor Center

5. Holocaust Museum

6. Library of Congress

7. National Archives
