Constituent Work Week for The United States House of Representatives

From the 6th to the 15th of June, The United States House of Representatives is scheduled to conduct Constituent Work Week activities during this time period. Which means, The House is out of session for a “constituent work week.” They’ll be back in their districts, probably holding meetings with constituents and lobbyists, and downhill gathering where anyone can show up and ask a question. If there’s something you want to push your member of Congress on, this is the perfect week to do it, so during this time, better to see them before they leave for DC!

Need Travel Insurance?

Washington DC welcomes more that 18 million visitors annually, which includes international and American tourists.  Most visitors plan their trip months in advance expecting to pay around $3000 for flights, hotel, food and sightseeing.  In today’s age, a common piece of equipment is a camera and a laptop, which are a must when traveling.  All of these factors can add up to one question.  What if something goes wrong?  It isn’t uncommon to lose items, experience delays, misplace credit cards, or have to cancel a trip entirely due to unforeseen events that may hinder your ability to travel.

Travel insurance 101 is a great tool/website to measure the risk factors against the costs of losses and whether investing in Travel insurance would be ideal for your trip.  Even if you don’t decide to buy travel insurance, the website allows for you to be mindful of several items to be aware of when traveling that you may have not considered.  Click here to read about mistakes travelers make when buying travelers insurance.

We here at the American Guest House a Washington DC Bed and Breakfast wish to ensure that all of our guests experience safe travels and the best experience possible while visiting Washington DC.  As a Washington DC hotel, we understand that the unforeseen can occur at any moment and suggest that our guests consider the benefits of Travel Insurance prior to taking any trip, as this minor investment can give you the peace of mind on your trip, protection against the unexpected and protection of your trip’s investment.
