Colonial Market & Fair at Mt. Vernon Estate & Gardens

The Colonial Market & Fair at Mt. Vernon Estate & Gardens is a much anticipated annual event. Some of America’s finest artisans and craftspeople give demonstrations of 18th century crafts and sell traditional items such as furniture, woodwork, and weaving just to name a few. There will also be some 18th century novelty entertainment such as fire-eating, sword-swallowing, colonial style puppet shows and music.

The fare will take place September 17th-18th, from 9am to 5pm. The Potomac River Sightseeing Cruises, as well as the Potomac Riverboat Company will be providing transit to Mt. Vernon free of charge during weekend of the fair. The cost of the fair is included in regular admission prices, $15 for adults, children ages 6-11 $7, and children ages 5 and under are admitted for free. You may purchase tickets ahead of time here.
