The Embassy of Japan is located at 2520 Massachusetts Ave
Washington D.C. The closest metro station is Dupont Circle on the Red Line.

Built in 1931 and designed by the architectural firm Delano & Aldrich, with a  Georgian revival style residence

Just a short walk away, hidden on the grounds of the Embassy of Japan, is an authentic Japanese teahouse named Ippakutei, the “Teahouse of 100 Years.” Ippakutei was built to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the ratification of the Japan-US Treaty of Amity and Commerce in 1960.
