While visiting the Nation’s Capital, many of our guests take advantage of the short distance to New York City to take a bus trip to “The city that never sleeps”. There are several companies that provide affordable and comfortable trips to New York City. The pickup stops are metro accessible.  Please compare the details provided and take your pick!

Bolt Bus

Bolt Bus offers non-stop service to New York City. There are comfortable leather seats and free wi-fi for your convenience. Use their easy online reservation system to purchase your ticket. You may even present your confirmation number from your email on your smart phone to board the bus, which means less paper for you to carry.

DC2NY

DC2NY provides limited stop service to New York. They offer the option of a movie during the trip. In these cases majority rules, as the drives takes a vote among passengers. There are stops at the Chesapeake House for those who need to use the rest room or grab a bite to eat. Complimentary bottles of water are also given to passengers for their trip. There is also free wifi available.

Pick up stop(s): Dupont Circle at 20th Street NW and Massachusetts Avenue NW. (Red line, 42/43 Bus)
14th Street NW between H and I Streets NW. (Blue and Orange Line McPherson Square, 42/43 Bus)

Mega Bus

Mega Bus is a double decker bus. Megabus offers free wifi for your convenience. The driver may make a pit stop, however patrons do not leave the bus for breaks.

Drop off stop(s): W 28th Street and 7th Avenue (3 blocks away from Penn Station)

Washington Deluxe

Washington Deluxe offers free wifi to their guests and limited stops. There are is a stop on Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan and Penn Station.

Pick up Stop(s): Dupont Circle (1300 block on 19th Street, between Dupont Circle and N Street NW)
Farragut North Metro Station (1015 15th Street NW between L and K Street NW in front of Cosi Bakery. 1 block from McPherson Square Metro, blue or orange line. 2.5 blocks from Farragut North Metro Station, red line)
