The Washington, DC Old Town Trolley Tours are a smaller scale alternative to the larger bus tours. The tours are given in loops categorized by color that cover different areas and tourist attractions. Orange line brings you along the National Mall and stops at all the Smithsonian Museum buildings, as well as the National Monuments and Memorials( Lincoln, FDR, Washington, Jefferson and the United States). The Green line travels  to visit the National Zoo and Washington National Cathedral. It the travels through “Embassy Row” on its way to historic Georgetown before it’s final stop at the White house. The red line services the Arlington National cemetery and the Lincoln memorial. You are able to transfer to any of the different “loops” through out the day, as this is included with the purchase of your ticket.

The Old Town Trolley tour operates from 9am to 5:30pm daily. Tours depart from each stop every 30 minutes. The prices for this tour are as follows: $35 for adults, $25 for children (4-12) and children under the age of 4 ride for free.

Tickets are for sale at Union Station, serviced by the red line, or the DC Visitor Center located at Federal Triangle metro station on the blue and orange lines. Please visit the website for additional information and for specific stops.
