There are several exciting events taking place in the Nation’s Capitol President’s Day weekend! The White House will be hosting a special family oriented program on Theodore Roosevelt, “What’s in Your backpack Teddy”. Program will take place from 11am to 2pm on President’s day. George Washington’s Birthday Parade will be taking place in Alexandria, VA that Monday February 21 from 11am-2pm. The parade will take place in Old Town Alexandria which is accesible by metro train.
Madame Tussade’s Wax Museum is opening their Presidential Gallery on February 17th. The gallery will be interactive featuring various historical figures.
The National Harbor Restaurant Week will take place February 15th through February 27th. Enjoy the prix fixe menu that weekend. The National Harbor is a must see tourist site, accesible by metro train and bus.
